I am a sucker for flying gadgets. I have tons of collectibles, trophies that stand with pride embellishing my room with element of badass. But when it narrows down to me and helicopters, I can’t just collect souvenirs. It has to be big. It has to be real. I should be able to pilot my favorite choppers. That’s where big RC helicopters come into picture.

The fandom to fly only the largest RC helicopters keeps me scouring for more. I keep furbishing my collection, appending it with the best I find, and am forever on the prowl for the next gen stuff. So you know where the advice is coming from. I will let you in on my team by helping you get only the finest ones ever manufactured.

If it isn’t huge it is for kids. That’s the adage I stand by. Keeping that in mind I place this rad helicopter amongst my list of favorites in the big category. Lengthwise it is around 70 cm so you can only imagine how big this copter is. However, even given it’s size, the controls are extremely simple to master. Even my 5 year old nephew can fly it without bumping it anywhere. The best part is when I take this chopper for a 360 degree spin. It reminds me of all those action movies I watched growing up. The WLToys Copter is very stable for a chopper of that huge size. It goes on to show how quality work is done at their manufacturing unit. It works better than all choppers even in violent windy situations. You will feel like you are flying one of the most powerful winged beasts ever built by mankind.

If you wish to buy a big copter that literally redefines style, Lutema is the way to go. The flying bird comes fully assembled. I call it ‘epitome of strength’ since it sports mostly metal frames for a body for the better half of it. This helps it in providing a proper navigational support and also to beat gust of winds when it’s up in the air. The best bit is that how much its movement resembles that of the original. You will feel like you are flying a real chopper. The front sleek design will remind you of a rampaging bullet train. With a built in gyro to call its flying shots, you get what you pay for. When I take it out for a spin I lose track of time. It is that addictive.

The G.T. model is another gargantuan helicopter that you can lay your hands on. Flying this chopper is a piece of cake. I often take this out during the night since it comes abounding with multiple LED lights that let me navigate in the dark, it’s looks pretty cool too. It comes integrated with a gyroscope and a long battery life that sees to it that your never really stop having fun. That being said, it just takes 3 hours of charging time to get fully charged. Isn’t that just great? I was taken aback by the spare blades that it gives for free. As if the company knew we flyers are feisty with our choppers.

Another great large copter comes straight from the anvils of Meijiaxin company. The best part? Its remote control comes with an LCD to make things easier for you and has a very professional look to it. It seems as if you have been handed over a robot by Skynet. Its robust build will leave your jaws wide open. The handling of this gorgeous bird is super smooth. It tags along a great head speed even in the most violent of winds. The Meijiaxin beauty allows you to control percentage of usage on your sticks that makes things kind of both intriguing and interesting. I prefer flying it at 85% since I feel it’s that when it is truly controllable. The whirring sound when it flies makes my kid play Rambo games inside his head. We love taking this out to our nearby park.
